The Rough Draft of the First Draft of History

Finally, GF Wins One!

Business Week has picked Great Falls, Montana, as the best Montana city in which to raise your kids.

I agree!

Although, in fairness to rest of my great state, I like the whole state. In fact, I got to travel to Butte yesterday, and the more time I spend in that town, the more I like it. Let’s remember we’re all lucky to live here.

Let’s also remember, though, that the ‘beauty tax’ is a myth.

As I heard from one of my college classmates – if it wasn’t so great they’d just call if Falls.

    Overall -I’ve always liked Butte–as a hole… I mean as a whole

Care to expound on the. Counselor?

I read an online article last week from either Business Week or Forbes (I dont recall) about the 100 best Cities to start a business in. Missoula, Bozeman and Billings were in the top 100. The article listed “low wages” as a downside for Billings.

  6. Gregg Smith says:

The ‘beauty tax’ is a myth that suggests that there is something inherent in Montana that accounts for the fact that we have lower wages than other places, but it’s worth it because it’s so beautiful here.

    Whoops, Black River=Black Eagle.

Great for Great Falls. Too bad the magazine did not use a picture of Great Falls.
