Airport Director Out?
The Airport Authority has apparently elected not to renew the current Director, Cynthia Schultz’s, contract, although this article indicates that she can apply for the position under the new process.
Longtime readers will recall that I served on the Airport Authority a few years ago. Based on that, I got a bit of a chuckle when I read that the Director accused the Authority of wanting to “micromanage” her.
That has been a fairly standard response from Ms. Schultz over the years whenever her decisions have been questioned by the Authority. I can remember meetings where she bristled at being “micromanaged” when Board members raised issues or asked questions.
Listen for the whispering campaign against the Authority to begin…

Maybe she’ll apply for ECP executive director????
What took so long?
Stupid move.
[...] Electric City has the news that Cynthia Schultz is out as Great Falls airport director. [...]
There seems to be two type of Boards. The micro-managing control freak Board and the Board that abdicates its authority and responsibilities to the paid staff.
Vernon, its when the Board who chooses not to abdicate its authority & responsibility that is labeled “micro-managing”
“the Board that abdicates its authority and responsibilities to the paid staff.”
This is the present city commission board style, hence the rubber stamps and new ink pads issued every two weeks and taken up with pleasure, save for Mary Jolley!
