Confidentiality Agreement-Then and Now
Longtime readers will recall that there has been an ongoing question whether City officials signed a Confidentiality Agreement with SME over the coal plant discussions.
City Clerk, Lisa Kunz, on November 27, 2007: “I do not have any document on file that indicates the commissioners signed a confidentiality agreement with SME.”
City Clerk, Lisa Kunz, on November 29, 2007:
Several years ago when staff first met with SME, they were requested to sign confidentiality agreements in order to sit in on a couple of meetings. After the City became an SME member and had actual business dealings with them, staff asked the City Attorney if they should sign said agreements and were advised not to do so. No confidentiality agreements were subsequently executed by staff, either personally or on behalf of the City. Nor have the Commissioners or the Mayor signed any such agreement as previously mentioned. It doesn’t exist.

City’s Privilege Log, October 2008: “Iitem #22, one will see “First page of “Confidentiality Agreement,” between SME and City of Great Falls, with handwritten notes by D. Gliko (City attorney).”
City’s Brief, January 20, 2009: “The confidentiality agreements between the City and SME and/or third parties involve property right protection of privileged information inclusive of trade secrets and attorney/client privilege discussed above; [sic] all of which is further addressed in the [sic] SME’s Brief. The City joins therein.” [Emphasis Added]
Don’t you just love the smell of sunshine?

Gregg, I think that odor is your verbal napalm that has denuded their forest of verbal misdirection.
So where does this get us? We still are the mushrooms.
I don’t believe a word that comes out this bunch of bald face liars. They say they need extra money for public safety. The real public safety question should be who will protect us from their incompetence and lack of integrity?
Until the lock box at city hall becomes public information their credibility is zero in my book…..
They have me so confused, even with the Cliff Notes it makes no sense.
I sure am glad you are giving us sunshine to smell because the mayor, commissioners, and the other folks at the city government are giving us a bunch of SH** to smell.
No on the levy and NO to all those in city government who are up for re-election this year!
